After gaining promotion to the La Liga Santander,
Alaves quickly found their feet to this new challenge after forcing Atletico
Madrid to a draw at the Vincente Calderon and also beating the defending
champion Barcelona at the Camp Nou earlier this season, they have had an
inconsistent performance so far. Alaves are winless in their last three (3)
games as they sit on 13th position with just 10points after Match-Day 9. Alaves
will try to get points off the table toppers Real Madrid as they face off this
weekend at the Estadio Mendizorroza.
Real Madrid will look to continue their goal-scoring
form when they face Alaves this weekend. Real are huge favourites to win this
game as they have a far better squad than their opponent. This is a ‘David Vs
Goliath’ clash with ‘Goliath’ looking to claim the Victory. In Football anything
can happen but with the way both teams are performing presently it’s hard to
see Alaves getting any point off this game.
TEAM NEWS
Alaves will be without their star player Marcos
Llorente who is ineligible for this game as he was gotten on-loan this summer
from Real Madrid, but Alaves will look on to their bench to get a suitable
replacement and provide a strong team to face Real.
Real Madrid will be without injured Ramos, Casemiro
and Modric with Cavajal also suspended for this clash. News coming from Madrid
suggests that Zidaine could bench Ronaldo for this game as the star man have
failed to find his goal scoring boots this season scoring just once in their
last five league games, with the young stars Morata, Asensio and Vasquez
scoring 13goals this season with limited game time and the BBC scoring just
12goals who are first choice. Zidaine was quoted saying ‘I am not going to be
unfair about it, but yes, I have to take decisions. I try to do what is best
for everyone, tomorrow you will see who plays’.
