La Liga Preview: FC Barcelona vs Granada CF





Barcelona are placed third in the Spanish league table after last weekend's win at Valencia, and host Granada at the Camp Nou on Saturday who are last on La Liga.

This doesn't look much difficult for the Luis Enrique's side to claim another three points despite the injuries.


Granada is the only team yet to register a win in La Liga this season on the other hand the Catalan Giants will be looking forward to increase the tally for the most no. of Goals Scored by any team in La Liga this season with 29 Goals in 9 games so far.

Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez are the leading Goal scorers for Barcelona with 7 goals each. Artem Kravets has scored the most for Granada this season with 2 Goals.

Injuries

Lately Barcelona have been hit hard by injuries, and more on short interval.

Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba, Andres Iniesta, Aleix Vidal, Jeremy Mathieu and Arda Turan.


History

Granada CF haven't been able to gain points in 22 visits to the Camp Nou. Therefore, the greater challenge for the Nazari team this Saturday will be to emulate Alavés, the only team to achieve victory at Camp Nou this season.


Managerial Crisis

The current manager Lucas Alcaraz is the third manager appointed in charge for the Nazari side.
Alcaraz is part of a selected few of managers to have tasted victory against FC Barcelona. Alcaraz has won on two occasions against the Blaugrana side, having faced them on 14 occasions.

Reunion

There can be a possible reunion with three La Masia graduates at Camp Nou.

Isaac Cuaenca left Barcelona in 2014 playing 16 games during his stint.

Oier Olazabal also left Barcelona in 2014 but he was the first choice Goalkeeper in Barcelona B, playing 122 games before making a move to Granada.

Sergi Samper, the young talented midfielder joined Granada CF on loan for one season from Barcelona after being promoted to the first team.

Barcelona: Ter Stegen, Roberto, Mascherano, Umtiti, Digne ; André Gomes, Busquets, Rakitic ; Messi Suárez, Neymar.


Granada: Cuellar; Lora, Juan Rodríguez, Meré, Lillo; Sergio Álvarez, Rachid, Moi Gómez, Burgui; Kravets and Andres Pereira.




It will be a great opportunity for the likes of Umtiti, Digne, André  Gomes to give their best as few experienced players are inured.
